Hi everyone
I brought myself a Polo last night which is a 99 1.4LS
I had taken it for a test drive during the week and it was lovely
I paid the remainder of the balance last night and brought the car home
First thing i noticed really was the noise of the engine - its not rattling or anything its just different to what i am used to - someone told me Polos are like this...is this true?
Secondly i went shopping for about 45 minutes and when i came out i drove around the car park and when i turned right - at no more than 5-10 miles an hour- the steering went all hard and solid and then the engine cut out and the battery light on the dash came on...
It done it again this morning while coming out of my car park
Any ideas why this is and whats causing it??
Apart from that its a lovely car
Cheers
Engine Stalling while turning right...?
The polo engines are fairly noisey compared to the smooth and quiet modern engines. As for the steering I assume it has power steering, maybe its the power steering pump???
Another suggestion is, are the wheels stock size or are they out of allignments maybe they are catching the body working whilst turning causing the engine to stall under to much strain?
