HIC Insurance

Post by ModifiedMadness »

Does anyone have any experience with HIC Insurance, I'm with Brentacre at the minute and have just got my renewal through which I'm not very happy with tbh.

Instead of the deposit and 11 payments it's quoting the deposit and 3 payments!! Works out just over £2 a month cheaper and I've just got 2 years NCB.

Your best bet is to get a bunch of quotes from other companies, and then contact your current insurer saying these are the quotes I've got but I want to stay with you.

They should really drop their premium significantly.

as much as i hate the adverts i used confused .com which does help as a good rough guide. they do lie as when i contacted Kwik Fit I had to go through the whole process again. and i did a quote direct with Kwik Fits webiste which differed slightly from the confused.com price!

Im with HIC and i have 1 yrs NCB i had been driving for 4 years at the time and all my mods declared they managed to get my price down to £735 which was about £100 cheaper than bell and they will pay out for all mods i did the deposit and 3 payments and it worked out alot cheaper than doing deposit and 11 payments.

My renewal came through for like £480. Elephant are scammers as I re-did my quote last week for like £400!

Even bigger scamming bastards. On the phone they said the £480 was without mods and they don't pay out for mods now, what a bunch of retards as they already knew my mods because I declared them. They then proceeded to quote me £580 and could only get it to £520!

Phoned HIC and got it for £475 with mods declared and £50 less excess than Elephant 8)

Is that in your name, with you as the main driver? How long you been driving and how many NCBs do you have?

I rang them up the otherday, mods declared, 1NCB been driving 3 years with no convictions etc.. they quoted me close to £1500? :?

wtf, that's insane! They must have hated the tone of my voice or something lol.

I gave up in the end and have stuck with Directline (it renewed yesterday), which I wasn't best please about
