rear stub axle... with ABS????

i crashed my car after 9hours on the road after passing my test on tuesday last week! i cudnt believe it i went 70 into a corner stupid really but i was doing anything to keep up with my mates beemer lol

rite any way i need a rear stub axle for the left wheel, i cant find one anwhere as it is an ABS brake it isnt the one on the standered polo 6n as mine is a 1.6 GLX

please if anyone knows where i can get it, it would be of great help

Yea I crashed my car on the second day of having it, did what you did about 2 weeks ago and bent the wishbone and killed the clutch lol. You got discs or drums on the rear. I know on the discs the ABS thing is on the hub. When you buy it, it comes with the ABS thing on and its optional if you want to take it off. I assume the stock stub axle would come with the ABS stuff as stock but you could remove it, if your car doesn't have it. Best bet is to go to a dealer or a VAG parts specialist and bring the part with you and show them what you need. If you cant bring the part they could help you identify what you need by your numberplate and a blueprint. Either that or go breakers.

have some respect for the road, your car and other people, Dont mess about on the road you get what you deserve. Bet you wont be doing that again in a hurry ay? U could have had a lovly little run arround there, change ur life having a car does, but nope, ur buggerd now, That little polo will never gunna be the same again :shock: :evil:

u no how excited u get wen u get in yr car for te first time.. i did it up so it would stick to the road bt i jst didnt ssee the road ahead due to the fact my mate was blocking my view so i think u should chill out a lil bit, i no it was stupid bt we all learn from our mistakes!....

yeah, be fair to the guy, i managed to dent/scratch mine in my own driveway at walking speed mate. you have NOTHING on me :D 4 days that took. as for tha ABS thing, i have no idea personally, try ur local scrappie, ring vw if theres no luck there.

I reckon you didn't see the road ahead because you were too close to your mate.

And 'doing it up so it sticks to the road'. Sorry, but if you think it's a good idea to explore the limits of traction as soon as you pass your test......
