Cheap-ass cleaning stuff at Lidl!

Post by Ollie_R »

I popped over to Lidl's in Sidcup this morning to have a look at the pressure washers they have in at the moment (£100 for a good Lavor PW; bargain!). I didn't get the PW in the end, but they had some good, cheap cleaning stuff there. For example I bought this stuff:

For the princely sum of £5.26 :D

Similar sort of stuff would cost a lot more from Halfords. I'm dead chuffed with the price. I'm sure it's going to be as good as other branded products. And I have an inkling that the Lidl stuff may be re-branded Einszett products, which are very good.

I've already used the tyre foam, and I can confirm that it's good stuff, as it leaves a dark matte finish on the tyres and it lasts for yonks. The air conditioning cleaner should be as good as the £11 stuff from Halfords and it only cost £1.29! And it should leave a nice citrus smell.

I'll be using the bug remover closer to show season, as the front of the Scirocco is like a bug magnet! And the engine cleaner will be tested closer to the Spring Fest.

They also had other stuff in the range, like the windscreen washer fluid, which I've already tried, which is damn good, some wheel cleaning spray, some windscreen cleaner, and some fabric protectant. It must be as good as the Meguiars retail range; at least!

I can confirm that the degreaser is very effective on dirty Scirocco engine bays 8)

It cut through all the old grime and oil in the Scirocco's bay, and left it as clean as possible. Good stuff.

The tyre foam is also good stuff, and I've yet to try the bug remover :P

I've always found Lidl stuff to be great quality.

I'm buying an paint sprayer in Aldi this Thurs, I'm going to use it to primer my DIY smoothed bumpers
