Service done - opinion on prices

had a full service done today which included....

changing the oil and filter
spark plugs
air filter
pollen filter
brake fluid changed

and because the car's on 54k i also had the cambelt changed

this came to a cost of Â£300

i was Â£380 for my 60k service which involves the normal stuff plus belts changed waterpump changed, asked for a gearbox oil change which was Â£28 for the oil alone

I think that's reasonable, was about to hit the roof but then notcied you snuck the belt change at the end

Not a bad garage price but I've just done all of the above for Â£40 and an hour of my time. Its really very easy, I did a belt change as well but thats a little more difficult. So next time when your belts dont need changing give it a go yourself and save a few Â£.
