Another GTi off to a new home

Post by TheEggShell »

Well, I managed to sell my Polo GTi at the weekend to the first person who came and saw it.

I told her about the forum so hopefully you will have a new and enthusiastic member soon!

I am missing the little beauty already though :(

Many thanks for all the help I received in this forum during the past few years!

I'm sure I'll pop back from time to time to see what new and exciting things you've done with your Polos!

Congrats on the sale. So what are you progressing to next?

It's a bit of a sensible car I'm afraid, I've got an Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sport.

It's got great torque but it isn't as fun to drive as the Polo.

I had to get a diesel because of the amount of miles I'm covering

The GTi served me better than well! It was a corking little car (even with it's niggly issues)

The Audi A3 is a nice car - I'll probably be looking at selling my Gti over the next couple of weeks to get an Audi A4 tdi sport, once chipped there really isn't a big difference in speed. And looking at your profile you are based north west - there is a company in Blackpool called MSD that I have only heard good things about with regards to getting it chipped. That's where I will be going for mine anyway.

Ok cheers Luke, I'll bear MSD in mind!

I've also had a company called Jabasports recommended to me for remaps.

Anyone used them?

I've not used them, but Jabbasport from what I have heard from friends are also very good - not heard anything negative anyway.
