Fox R3 15-inch Alloys

Post by kraized »

Hi guys,

I am looking to replace the stock BBS RXII's on my 2001 6N2 GTi since the BBS's are in a s**t state and I want to spend time refurbing them and I've pretty much decided on a set of Fox R3's.

Been looking around and can get them for around £420 with 195/45/15 tyres for a set of four inc VAT and delivery. Now I've been looking around eBay and saw these for sale.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fox-R3-Alloy-Whee ... dZViewItem

I am just wondering whether these will fit a stock GTi OK without any mods and as they are fitted with 195/50/15 tyres whether they will look as good as with 195/45/15's??? This guys is selling a set of 5 for £395 inc delivery.

Hoping you guys can advise either way.

Cheers, Nick.

Yeh those measurements will fit no problem mate.

195/50s won't look as good for they're a larger profile, and if your car is lowered you'll experience scrubbing issues

Thanks for the reply. My car isn't lowered, just still all stock config from factory. I would prefer 45's but since this guy is selling a set of 5 alloys and tyres for just shy of £400, seems to good an offer to pass by.

Have a search, there's better alloys out there. You may regret buying 50s as soon as you put them on, and they're hard to shift. You can get a great set of second alloys for £400 of forums such as this one and edition.
