Thieving smackhead twats!

Post by M@Turner »

Just had a phone call from my mother saying my dad's car window has been smashed and some stuff has been nicked from the car.

Story is, mum borrowed car to go with some friends to a show in Rotherham. 30mins after she'd left house, my dad realised his mobile was still in car on show, but thought my mum wouldn't realise! So we tried ringing it so she'd realise but it was too late! :x

So now some scum of the earth has smashed a car window to steal a 3year old mobile phone!!! Its not even worth £10.

Will update on events later!

Ah man, that sucks! I hate thieves.

Is it covered under insurance?

Mate thats a beatch!

I'm always wary of leaving stuff on display in my car, I never do it, but it is easy to forget just once and then you've had it. I always have to remember to take my road angel off display everytime I park up, but I'm so used to that now it'd be soooo easy to forget.

I've often wondered this. Does your insurance policy's (fully comp) windscreen cover cover just the windscreen or does it cover the sides and rear too. :?:

Cheers for replies guys!

Update is, my dad rang his insurance and its covered under the windscreen cover! Couldn't get a window till 4pm today but they came at 5pm and fitted it at the house! Unfortunately though, looks like they've tried levering the window for some strange reason and thats bent the rubber aluminium lined surround so that needs fixing too! Gonna take it to a bodyshop and see if they can sort it, if not might need a new surround!!!

Excess was £50 for window to be repaired but would have cost in excess of £200 if not covered!
