boot wont open :(

the other day i shut my boot and it has not opened ever since. It seems oblivious to all central locking and key turning. Just will not budge. key turns like normal, boot wont open. please help how can i fix this I really need my boot!

I've heard of this, only way to solve it is with this:

Could be the central lock pump failing? Have a look at that incase its the cause.

this happened on my other halves polo!

i think a little part had just come loose in the boot, behind the cover! my bro had to go in through the rear seats, which was harder than you'd imagine as she has a full sound system, and fix it.

the pump was knackered at the same time anyway!

does the central locking open all the other doors? if it does then it won't be the pump!

oh that bloomin central lockings always been funny, its locking all the doors but only unlocks every so often, but it usually resets after a few days and works perfect. Thers a fault deep in the system somewhere its not the pump. Ive got an install as well so is gonna be a hell of a mission for me to get to.

Are you not able to open it from the inside like Dan suggested?

Is it an aftermarket setup?

If it isn't I'd suggest getting one, that could be a little project for you Joe!!
