New Company Name - Help!

Post by Bryony84 »

My company is currently called purpledotmedia, which stems from it being a 'company name' that I put on all my uni work. It really isn't relevent to the company anymore as it is more art & design related than media so I need a new name to go with my redeveloped website and new services. Services are listed below:

Home Customers:

Mounted Photographic Prints
Canvas Photographic Prints
Custom Canvas Paintings (animals, cars, etc)
Custom graphic design for: Birthday, wedding, anniversary invitations etc

Buisness Customers

Branding, Logos etc
Graphics for web or print use
Photography
Full brochure/leaflet service (take photographs on site/provide stock photography, design brochure/leaflet etc)
Business Card design

Thoughts on the below names appreciated, all would have 'graphic design written beneath the logo:

Frisky (To denote youth, enthusiasm etc)
Phoenix (To denote graphic design bringing a brand or company back to life)
Bright & Bushy (As in bright eyed and bushy tailed, to denote youth, enthusiasm etc)
Barefaced (To denote simple, uncomplicated graphic design)
Tonic (To denote repairing/fixing/improving a company/brand with graphic design)
Revive (To denote graphic design bringing a brand or company back to life)
Flex/Flexi (To denote flexibilty, ability to tackle a variety of different work)

Any suggestions would be gratefully received, I'm crap at choosing names!!

cool, after further investigations, tonic and my other thought for that - antidote, both already exist. I'm thinking of going totally random for a name as apparently its better if you just have something memorable that doesn't say anything about the business.

Like Bumblemuffin or something, lol!!!

I'm trying to think along the lines of something with Octo in the title or maybe with an 8 somewhere in it as I'll be launching in 08.

Right, what do people think of...

'Octogen'

Play on oxygen (required to survive) and Octo because I'll be launching in 2008

Kindof, but its not meant to sound like a graphics company really - I was trying to avoid that because apparently its better not to pick names relating to the work in case things change.

Octagen... like an octagon? As in the shape?... Spose that has denotations of graphic design in it...

I liked that Tonic8 suggestion. Numbers seem to go well in names. Octonic was good aswell.

Octonic designs

I think X's work well aswell in names. They make things more memorable as theyre arent many words like it in the english language that are used daily.

And plus it sounds supercool lol. X/OTonic designs or something. That sounds like exo-tonic designs.

Which sounds superbadass.

Seriously though "ExoTonic designs" is my suggestion
