badges

Post by Glover12 »

Ive just bought these badges http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-POLO-MK4-6N-94 ... dZViewItem to put on my polo mk4 (6n) and dont really no how to unclip the front one, i dont want to break the original so didnt want to force it out.
i also know thanks to the forum that i have to heat the badge on the boot up then get under it with a flat edge.Is this correct?
When putting the new badge on the boot or equally the front shall i rough up the area and whack a bit of grab adhesive on to make sure the new badge will stay secure?

Cheers in advance

you're right with how to remove the back badge. the front simply pulls out. give it a good haul and itll pop out easy enough. if you're worried about breaking things, hold the grille in while you do it.

Do not pull the front out!

It is held in place by 3 clips, these are accessed by lifting the bonnet, using a flat headed screwdriver to unclip 4 clips which attach the top of the grille, then put your hand down behind the grille and unclip the 3 clips which attach the front badge.

^^ thats the best and easiest way to do it. Hauling it out may break the clips
