Conversion kit?
Straight swap for golf hub?

I've heard they attatch from the rim onto where they bolt on to the axle, They have to be the right adaptors if you know what i mean, I.E porsche wheels would need to be say 5x130 converted to 4x100 to fit onto volkswagens.

maybe someone could explain this in more detail

That's it, and yeh adaptors are definitely the easiest way. Not cheap though,.

I don't see anything wrong with fitting 5 studs, it isn't unsafe? the amount of campers i see rolling around on cookie cutters and teledials, which are 5 stud converted onto the VW 4 stud. it would just be easier to get different wheels which are already 4 stud. which may save you money and could be easier than paying for adaptors

Don't think they can just be any old adaptors have to be good quality and apply to the wheels your fitting? all different ones for different sets of wheels etc.
