well i want to get it all smoothed out in the summer but cant afford it yet

also my grill where the muber plate is, is snapped in half so cable ties are holding it together and the number plate is covering that up

Or how about maybe colour coding the background of the VW badge, So there is more of an emphasis on the actual Black VW?, I think I've seen it done before!

yeh thats what i orignally wanted to do. however first i thought there would be a way to get the 'background' of it off, so you could see the original colour from the boot but that cant be done i dont think.

i do have some touch up paint, but dont know if that would work, or come out well

it can be done i did it with mine u used a stanley knife to cut off the blobs of plastic which holds the vw badge to the backing on the back and it just pops off. glued it back in place when it was done. make any sense?

I like the front, but not the back.

Yeh you can split it Adam, I've done it on mine also. Just do exactly what Kelk11 said.

Would look really smart with a silver logo, colour coded blue behind 8)

well looking at my car today i decided i did not like the back at all, so doing what i originally wanted to do and have cut off the 'background' of the VW badge

Spraying the VW black, will see what that looks like

also took the front off again to add more coats

poor quality image, but to show you roughly what im doing

im planning on just putting the actual VW part back onto the boot, so the background will just be the colour of the boot

Why don't you just colour code the background? It'll look smarter and more flush. A backgroundless badge will look a bit bodgy imo
