Hi guys, Well I've hit a major problem today with my bloody Hiinfo VGA touch screen that I've bought from Linitx and the 1 year warantee for it is going to run out in a few weeks. SO here's my story, had an accident with the polo and the polo was written off so I took the PC and everything out. Bought the car back off the insurance and got the repairs done privately. So today i decided to install the CarPC back in. Now the problem that I've just encountered is that the screens front display, before it unfolds where the time is usually meant to be displayed. Does not come up. The unit is receiving power as the L.E.D'S of the unit come up, but the actually display does not. When unfolded there is still zilch happening the screen doesn't turn on and the buttons don't seem to work!

Heres a picture of what should be happening and what should be displayed but I'm not getting anything apart from the blue L.E.D's lighting up.

I has anything similar happened to anyone's headunit? or is it a malfunction in the actual unit? I don't mind returning it but if it's something that I can do myself then I'd rather not since LinITX don't stock anymore In-Dash-Screens.

Cheers!

Just to let any of you guys know that are attempting to build a Carpc. Not to buy the screen I bought. If I had to write a review I'd say it was totally bull! Looks impressive at the beginning but is in actual fact a ball of problems. If anyone knows of any other vga, usb touch screens. I wouldn't mind a shout from you guys!

Cheers

This aint really a Computer but if you just want it for alot of songs i use a touchscreen Dvd/cd player and just have a 500gb usb hard drive plugged in relatively low cost and works a treat all i do is put my music on the usb hard drive at night seeing im not normally near my house. The hard drive is stored in glove box and is really unnoticeable.
