those doorpods you're referring to are audioscape ones, and a bit pricey like u say at £180!! they're easy enough to make yourself, bit of mdf, fibreglass and body filler and get creative. the only problem is getting wires from the doors into the car.

heres a pic of the ones i made, with space for a set of 6.5" components, crappy camera so quality not too good but u get the idea

no worries, they had a piano black high gloss finish which doesnt come across too well in the pic.
yeah, get a spare set of doorcards from a scrappy and mould a set of doorpods to them, another option would be to look for some pods off another car while you're there and try and join the 2 together, save a bit of work.

You can get a Pipercross for a GT:

Same engine bay, but with my current set up:

Golf 8v airflow meter and Golf 8v K&N

Notice the size difference between the Golf and Polo airflow meters:

You need to bodge together a custom bracket though, that's the hardest part.

Works very well on mine, gives a nice bit of extra oomph. 8) [/img]

You can get a Pipercross from most performance parts specialists, it's best to ring around and get prices. I've never shopped around for one, as I got mine second hand.

I changed mine to the Golf setup because it gives even more airflow and better power than the Pipercross and Polo setup.
