6 speed gearbox mate. maybe not 1500. not much higher though!!!

I've heard from 2 people now that the golf mk 4 150 diesel suffers from the cams and lifters which cost £1k from the main dealer parts and labour. Can anybody confirm this? I don't know what to do now, lol

Probably best trying that question out on uk-mkivs. Just jeep the polo!!
