Engine Kick Back!!!

Post by whitegtipolo »

Anyone else suffered this, its started getting worse ! If i accelerate and let it boost but then take my foot off the pedal its like the engine kicks back bad! Could it be the standard DV ?? Any help would be appreciated as it pisses me off!

also cant say im suffereing from this mater, sorry i cant help, if you let off just as initial boost comes in hard, there is going to be a snap back reaction really, could be due to the boost levels your running???? and or the way boost is controlled and delivered

It is more than likely the n249 by-pass
Mine started doing the same "kick" yestersay when I by-passed it...
Not so badly though as you've described cos I have the Forge DV but there is a mild and not so noticable "kick" when shifting gears...
Just got to get used to it or put the n249 back to business.
Quality mod though... Just loving the boost

cos older 1.8t didnt have it its another way for the ecu to hold back boost by opening the DV as it pleases meaning sometimes boost drop off wen caning it if remapped etc! I believe with it removed your DV has quicker response so wont stay open for as long so explains the kick back if you lift off fast! I found if you dont be so hash with the pedal wen lifting off its fine!! still need a new DV gunna get the forge splitter !

the splitter is a re-circ/blow-off rather than full re-circ, so sounds like something out of the fast and the furious... or the chav and the chaviest
