Unfortunately I fall into the category that don't speed, I prefer to pay careful attention to everything around, especially as I have been very close to seeing what speeding can cause.
At one point, I nearly saw a Range Rover sport nearly crash into the back of a stationary car on a motorway at over 60mph, just because he wanted to bulldose his way through, and not realise that all the traffic stopped.
I know its bad to admit but i dont think i ever stick to speed limits
I dont speed speed but dont stick to limits if thats makes sense, normaly 10mph over the limit.but on motorways i always wana see what i can reach
If I speed, it's usually around 10mph over the limit. Sometimes I will cruise at 80, most times I quite happily go along at 70, even 60 if I'm in a relaxed mood and in no hurry. Of course once in a blue moon I can go overboard, but who doesn't? (Unless you drive a Prius!)
Unfortunetly yes, use to speed irresponsibly until I got pulled for doing 100mph and later on had a crash where I stuck to the speed limit and it saved my life
But I still do speed only on roads I know well and when I think its safe to do so, I usually idle on 30mph roads at 32-40 still to this day but take more responsibility to stay around the 32-35 margin nowdays.

Ditto if the road is pretty empty and i'm familiar with it.
^^ dito with dino, depends on weather & roads really, i like to go fast in a straight line on a quiet motorway...way too fast infact, especially if there is a fast car near me to irritate...
through streets etc.. i generally stick to the limit
Motorway: 70mph for economy (sometimes 65mph, sometimes 75mph)
60mph: 60 mph
50mph: 55 mph (50mph limits annoy me because they put them on ridiculous roads around where I live, that used to be derestricted)
40mph: 40-44 mph
30mph: 30-33 mph
20mph: 20mph
So generally I do not speed. I love acceleration and corners.
I would love the UK to put an 80mph limit on motorways, and 70mph if it is wet (similar to france).
I'll admit to speeding on motorways, theres a section of motorway near my work that has a 60mph speed limit and I can't see the reason for it so I tend to go normal motorway speeds.
On a normal motorway, I will drive according to weather conditions, slower than the limit in heavy rain etc, a bit faster in dry conditions.
I don't speed in residential streets where you can't see what could come out from between parked cars. I guess this is partly because when I was a student I went round a corner (slower than speed limit) and a cat ran out, the poor thing went straight under my right wheel. I couldn't have done anything to avoid it but it the most horrible memory I have about driving.
Although on country roads you really want to be seeing how fast your car can go round a corner, but I always take extra care round blind corners. It's just not worth the risk
