Alloys and tyre stretching

Post by adam_0612 »

Right i am buying some new alloys so just wont a bit of advice please

I am getting 7" wide and want tyres tretching on them. What size tyre would look good stretched on them.

I got told this
As for the stretched tyres, the only tyre that 'really' stretches on a 7x15 is a 165/50-15 but some people think this tyre is too small. So a 195/45-15 Falken ZE512 has the appearance of being stretch thanks to it sidewall design.
What you guys reckon, also you got any pictures of tyres that been stretched and there sizes on 7" wheels

thanks

195/45s will not look stretched on a 7, I've got them on a 7.5 and the stretch is minimal.
I'd go for either 185/45s decent stretch, or 165/50 Bridgestones Very nice stretch

I think they're more expensive than the average, because they're an odd size to buy. And there's less variety. I've never looked for them before so wouldn't know of exact prices of places to purchase.

how wide are they? I think you will want ET30 as these will stick out 5mm more.

the whole alloy will be 5mm further out from the hub.

ET30 should be fine with 7" wide wheel. You might even want spacers if you have a 175 tyre.
