Have any of you guys been to Vegas?

Post by MaxZ »

I need some serious advice. I'm considering going to Las Vegas to celebrate my 21st birthday. Flights/accommodation will be provided by parents, so what I want to know is:

Best duration to go for? A week or less? This is considering it's going to take quite a long time to fly there in the first place and I will be missing a week off uni.

What's the best amount of spending money to take with me, I intend to gamble but in considerate moderation, as I have never been that attracted to gambling. Also typical costs of a night out, and basically having a great time.

Also are there any must see places, apart from obviously the tallest free drop on top of the hotel.

i've been mate, it's great BUT i'm 18 so i couldn't drink/gamble/go clubbing lol, unlike what i do here, which is a bit annoying. But at 21 it will be amazing. I wouldn't stay any loner than a week, 4-5 days is ideal really, I'd space out your time with other places, like i did. We went to San Francisco and other places as well on the West, was fantastic. In regards to money, bring alot, there's alot of things to do and great shops. If you have alot of spare cash, take the helicopter flight into the Grand Canyon, that really is well worth it.

I've been and its out of this world!!! Not too sure about your questions as i was only 16 when i went. I'd recommend watching the fountains at the Belagio hotel, and doing a bit of shopping in Caesers Palace. One of the hotels you can have a gondola ride in aswell!!! Would highly recommend trying to get to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon though whilst your over there!!! Didn't do the helicopter flight through Canyon, but instead went on a Mule ride down the side! Now that was an experience! :D

My Manager at Work is going in July for 1 week and staying in the Luxor. Think its cost him £800 for flights and accomodation!

o yeah the horse ride, we chose to do the helicopter instead (don't do the plane you don't get to land inside (obviously)). My mate did the cannoo ride inside, he said that was good. yeah Ceasar's palace is a must! Circus Circus is a sight (a circus inside a hotel, it's mental). But Caesar's palace is MASSIVe, 3 floors of shops inside a hotel. I can't remember which one it is, but one has a fake Vienna thing inside, with boats.

I was there for 4 days while touring america and that was enough!

It was really good though, we stayed in the MGM. as for money just take as much as you possibly can as it's pretty expensive haha.

I'd recommend just going to look around all the main big hotels as they are all cool as hell. The stratorphere tower is worth a shout, some good thrill rides at the top.

There's a wet n wild water park there too which is pretty good.

One of the hotels (can't remember which one) has (or had) a pirate show outside, ending with the pirate boat sinking and stuff, was pretty cool
