Post by poddington_pea »

IS HAVING BIKE CARBS FITTED A GOOD IDEA?? WILL I GET ANY DECENT POWER GAINS BEARING IN MIND ITS ONLY A 1.0L, I'M NOT CHANGING THE ENGINE AS ITS ONLY DONE 36000. ALSO IS IT WORTH HAVIN THE HEAD PORTED AND POLISHED?? ANY OTHER POWER INCREASING IDEAS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

why not! it wont hurt. in fact it should work well with the one litre engine, as it will suite its short stroke high revving nature. no point in polishing and porting the head, just buy a 1.3 head, it will have bigger ports as std.
for other tuning ideas go have a look at what old skool mini owners do to extract power from there 1 litres!

head will bolt straight on, the gt head is much the same, just has a more sporty cam. if you dont want to diy fit the carbs speak to bogg brothers - google them im sure something will come up!
