E window not working-which part needs replacing? pics inside

Post by dn852k4 »

I dismantled the passenger side window, all seemed ok. The clips were intact etc. I then removed this part and the cable looks very magled. I'm pretty sure this is the reason why the windows failed- could someone verify this for me please. What is it called, and how much would it cost to replace?

That is the electronic window mechanism... you don't need to keep any of it ...

JUST bin it.

I would recommend German French Sweedish!!!!! If it was roughly £ 60 to 90.

I replaced it a year ago so can't remember the exact price... but yeah.. your get a new one of them... wack it in... and hey presto!!! really simple job.

Only thing is, I found you need to have the glass level for the motor to work at its best... spend a little time before you put the door back together with the window going up and down smoothly.. you may find the white clips that hold the window at the bottom need to be moved about for the best result!!!

Recommend doing this on a sunny day!! LOL :D

i think its gsf )google it. they are all over uk
