I have a JBL sub and amp at home which was in my old car and i want to put it in my polo now. The sub and amp were quite cheap, and i want to upgrade them in a few months but i want them to be in my car for now. The only problem is i have no idea how to fit them, and i dont want to go to halfords and pay £100 for them to fit it! I have a 0 gauge wiring kit at home, and i also have a sony head unit in my polo. Its a 54plate 1.2 twist, 3 door. Does anyone know any good ICE specialists who don't cost that much to fit a sub and amp in harrow or wembley? Or if not, would anyone be able to fit it for me if i paid them?
Thanks

Yes there are plenty around! I'm from harrow myself but I got my wiring done from slough but that might be too far for you.
There is one near North Harrow on Pinner Road near chicken cottage. I don't know the exact name of the shop. The other one you can go to is on lady margarret road in southall. If you have your own wiring then they should charge you between £25 - £40. Nothing more

I think that's New Image but they are expensive, they charged me £30 to run speaker wires from the back of my head unit to my boot so i could put 6x9s in the parcel shelf! If i wanted them to fit the 6x9s they would have charged me £100 for cutting the holes in a parcel shelf and connecting the wires to the speakers (not even making a stealth shelf)!
thanks for the suggestion though. Anyone know any other places?

If you can get a friend to do it, as its alot easier than it looks by miles and would be hugely price effective.
Head unit piece of p*** to fit, take old one out put new one in. As for the amp... best bet is go halfrauds and pick up a sub wiring kit, think they are around £20-30, unless you got a kit already.
As for wiring the kit its pretty easy the only hassle you'd get it running the power from the battery under the bonnet to the interior, its either a b***h to do in some polos, in others its easy or the third option which my mate done was drill a hole through and wire it that way (if you do this make sure you put some rubber washers in to stop any rust and to make the cable fit very snug.
But whilst wiring easiest thing I find to do is take the glove compartment out and run everything on the passengers side, once you take glove compartment out you'll see where the cable would come out and travel down the side under the rubber padding to the boot. Some times the side has to be taken out (like in the newest polo, its clipped down but trust me it pulls of whilst in a mark 4 polo you can easily tuck it under the rubber without any disassembly needed)...
My advice would be give the wiring a shot shouldn't take you more than two hours, if you can't work it out then take it to the specialist but if you do succeed it'd be a plus in the long run as you'd never have to pay anyone ever to do it as you can do it yourself.

I think it'll be a bit hard to just "Tuck" 0awg down the trim.....
it's still really easy to do, from front to back:
1: Theres a small grommet at the top of the passengers footwell, i poped the grommet out and replaced it with a thinner one from maplins... could use ducktape i suppose.... just to keep the wire from rubbing. i pushed the wire through from the footwell side using a smige of fairy to ease it through, then pulled as much as i needed through.
2: Remove the door rubber, (just pull it up) and also remove the door plastic.... same as the rubber but theres a small philips shrew behind the seatbelt rail at the bottom.
3: To get the wire from the the seats to the boot, i personally drilled a hole in the bottom of the seat base..... will post up a few pics sometime for you. you could possibly run it down the side of the seat also.
4: ett vwola you've saved yourself some dolla!:P
Hope this helps in some way.
John.

I finally managed to fit it! Took about 3 hours but it was definitely worth it!
I have got two Pioneer Subs and a Juice 2 channel amp (got the package from caraudiodirect.com) and had a go at installing it but it's not loud at all! You can't even tell i have a sub from the outside of my car, so i bought a power cap and that didn't help either!
