Feeler..... TDI130 Sport

Post by veedub-ally »

Hi guys

Looking for some expert advice on prices. I'm toying with the idea of selling my Polo and getting another VW but I don't have any idea what it's worth at the moment. The market is all over the place and I can't find any similar cars for sale - I don't think there were that many ordered in the UK. Here's the car/spec:

2005/55 (November 2005) Polo 130 TDI Sport (6 speed box) in reflex silver with blue/anthracite interior.
Factory extras: climate control, ESP, cruise, rain sensing wipers/photochromic rear view mirror, 16" Varano alloys.
Currently running 17" TT Competition alloys in anthracite with new treads and upgraded ICE - both of which I may or may not decide to sell.
Front and rear Caractere kit and Votex side sills. Tints and supaglass to the fronts.
28,000 miles with FVWSH. Car in mint condition and always garaged.

There are some pics on the forum somewhere but none since all the work was completed and I haven't taken any recent shots. Any thoughts appreciated! Cheers.

blimey, i remember you getting this! such a good spec list aswell, should sell easily if you decide to!

i would say, due to the spec, condition, service history and the mileage, you should be able to get £9+k for it i would have thought. i can't remember how much you paid for it?

i paid £9k for my ibiza and it was roughly the same age as yours is, with roughly the same miles but mine hasn't got ESP, rain sensing wipers, the rear mirror or cruise which are all fairly desirable these days! plus its a VW so holds its value more than a Seat!

Hey! Thanks. I think it was nudging £17k when I got it. At the end of the day I suppose it is only worth as much as someone wants to pay for it :)

I'm thinking of a Lupo GTI so it depends on whether or not I can track down a low mileage example that has not been abused or modified.

£17k  blimey, but a lot of car for the money! i would have thought £9-10K easy!
Lupo gtis are nice, especially the later ones with a 6 speed box! you can get them quite cheap now aswell, around the £5k mark for an unmolested one but will generally have higher miles than what most people will want!

i would think around £7-8k could get a fairly late model with low miles, and un modified with good service history!

Yeah but try finding one!!! I don't mind paying but finding one is almost impossible. My sister just beat me to it and got one just under 3 years old with just 13k on the clock and completely original. Now I hate her! Well, no I can't cos she's my wee sister
