Would this alloy wheel size fit?

Post by M@Turner »

Hi folks.

Just a quick question. Would a 9x16 et 25 be too wide for my GTi???

Car is lowered 35mm on H&R springs!

Cheers

id say they'd be fine providing you have a stretch on the tyres

The Clearance on the inside of the rims is as much of not more important than the arch!!!

The Polo doesnt have a lot of inner clearance, and that reduces firther if you run coilovers.

Get the tape measure tou and see what room you have. . .

compared to the standard 16s the gti has, the new wheels your mentioning will go inside the arches another 19mm, and sit out of the arches another 45 mm

personally i would say you may get away with them at the rear, but they are going to be too wide for the fronts, as my tt comps are only 7.5j and have only about 7 mm on the inner arch before they will hit the suspension shock absorber, and these only go in to the arch another 7 mm unlike the ones your mentioning which go in by 19 mm
