Help please :(

Post by iggy350 »

Ok Yesturday I went to Wembely and Back in the Polo. Today I go to start the it up and well I get these symptoms:

1) Terrible starting
2) Low Revs when it does start
3) When rev'ed it makes a poping noise and looses revs then gains them again, so the on the meter the hand goes up and down
4) When I test drive it around the block it was very slugish
5) And it fired some back crap out the back

Anyone know what it might be?

Thanks

Have the same problem. I clened my throttle body out, and still have the problem. i tryed the disconnecting your battery over night to reset my ECU, that failed too. eventually got it on the scanner with only reveraled that the mixture was to high. The throttle body would not set up. So i was advised a new throttle body. as i'm not going to spend £174 on a brand new one i got one from the scrap yard for £20. I'm dropping it off at Auto electricions tomorrow morning for them to set my new throttle body up and reset my ecu. The scanner did not pick up any fault sensor's or anything.

If you brows the mark 4 area there are severl section on idle speed, over reveing and bumpy starting.
