*Update On My Polo * New Pics!*

Post by Riggy »

Since I last posted pics of my car i've bought some 17" A8 replicas and some TA Technix fully adjustable coilovers. Personally I would say the coilovers are pretty good for the price i paid although I've never tried any others so my opinion is probably useless! Would have liked some FK's or something but im still at school so im pretty poor! The ride is pretty bumpy on poor roads but luckily there aren't many round where I live. Not sure how much its been lowered by probaly around 50-60mm. Anyway now ive had it lowered i'm hearing a knocking sound on the left front corner (passenger side) just wondering if this is anything serious? I've read on other posts it has something to do with the bushings on the Anti roll bar. If so what options are there to preventing this? Any information on this would be much appreciated as it quite annoying lol. I'll get some better pics on when the weather is good and its clean!
Thanks

A8's on

On the passenger side u say? hmmm most knocking on these comes from the drivers side where, when its lowered as much as yours is, the anti roll bar starts to knock on the driver side driveshaft.

it could well be that your anti roll bar bushes are worn and the roll bar is moving and knocking against the chassis.

i had a knocking noise after fitting my coilovers

it was the bolt at the top of the coilovers that needed tightning becuase the socket we used wasnt deep enough so we thought it was a tight as possible but there was still much room to go.

So try using a deep socket to tighten and se if that works?

Some new pics of the car after a good clean. New mods include tints and hid kit. Will get some night pics to show the HID's. Also do you HID users get flashed by other dirvers everynow and then? I have a feeling mine are too bright or sumut? :?

I have 6000k HID's and hardly ever get flashed (once in the past 24 months!) I have mine set to level 2 or the line if the road is empty.

Hmm well I have 8000k but I thought 6000k is brighter with 4300k being the brightest. By setting to level 2 do you mean that the you have dipped the beam to level 2 or something else?

They are 20% as in it lets 20% of light through. I think they maybe a bit too dark but I had the choice between like 75% and that and i thought 75% was too light.

Yeah i've got 8000K HIDs aswell. I've got the height setting if the lights at 3 (which is the lowest) and I still get flashed about 2-3 times a day.

Doesnt bother me though, now in the summer with the long days!
