Hello Everybody on UK-POLOS.NET........
Iam new on this website and also a big fan......

I own a 1.2L POLO.... :lol:....Love it to bits......

Have a Query....!!!!!

My Rear Passenger side and Driver Sider doors don seem to have
any speakers as i thought they came standard...... :? But i can see the housing for speakers......

Now am not sure what size speakers wud fit???

6.5' speakers. Do a search theres plenty of information available on this topic.

But r u sure that 6.5inches will fit straight into the rear???

Mine didn't have them as standard. I put some in and it sounds sooooo much better now!!

What size did you put? and did you need any adaptors to hold them in place?

we didnt need any adaptors. they were chris' old ones, he's pretty sure they were 16cm

So basically if i buy any after market 16cm speaker.....
They would just slot in?

mine are pioneers, apparently halfords dont sell them anymore though lol

i am sure they were 16's that i put in yours Stacey.

One thing you do have to look out for on the 5dr model is how deep they are.
You don't want to get ones too deep as i am sure the window would hit them on the way down.

Also... have fun trying to get the wires through.....

16cms it is then........
Well i will make sure that dont get deep ones......
But what makes wud you suggest that arent so deep???

Also chris will it be a direct fit???? i mean witout any adaptors

I didn't need any fitting adapters.
I got a set of pioneer speakers from Halfords (because you can take them back if they don't fit!!)
They were a real git to fit on the Polo as the whole door card has to come off! and you also have to trail wires from the back of the head unit.
(Note, if you have a BETA head unit, you only have "Front" output, so you have to join your new rear speaker cables onto the existing front ones.

Well i will be buying from halfords too....might even pay extra :( for them to fit it......
Wud you rememba the model numba of the speaker so that i will get an idea of wot to look for....
