after having a bit of rust sprayed, i've now got to refit the drivers side sill and front arch. apparently i need some special rivets? if so has anyone ever bought any?

they are just large headed black pop rivets, so you'll need a rivet gun to fit them.

I think you can get them from gsfcarparts for alot less than the VW prices,

Best tip...

Buy yourself something like a Sealey Pop-rivet gun kit. You'll get the rivet gun and a selection of rivets that;ll be perfect for the task...

Should cost no more than £14 all in...

Then get a black marker pen and cover over the heads once you're finished :twisted:

yeah, i tohught about that, but i thought they were special rivets?

well my GT has been modified so that my arch trims screw to the wings so I can remove them to check for rust etc
