fitting in new headlights...

Post by yosin »

trying to fit in some new headlights...i removed the front grille and support etc...then got to the bit where i had to remove the top 2 screws on the headlights then had to remove the bottom screw from underneath headlight..

this is where i got stuck on... :x

do i have to remove the front bumper or can it be done without removing the front bumper??..

thankspeeeps

you got a mk4 6n? Cos if you've removed the grille support the bottom 2 screws are free :!:
If you'ev got a mk5 6n2 then you certainly have to move the bumper.

as said - the mk4 does not need the bumper removing - I've done the headlights on these before.

hope that helps!

as said, just taqke off the support n grille, undo the top 2 screws and it should pop out wih a bit of persuasion. try taking it out at various angles...

if you are putting like mine that you need to cut some space for them !

I dont know what kind of angels did you bought !
are they together with side blinker THen you don't need to CUT

if they are like mine ! They you need to cut some plastic behind them to fit
they are a little bit larger !

i think you got the harnes like mine !

On side connects to left original socket from car then you have to connectors for each headlight and you have 2 red wires and 1 black !

This is connected to Acu red are naturaly + and black -

Hope you have on your wires fuses !
