its for the alarm which was fitted before i got the car

i was playing around with it the other day and when i set off the panic alarm it goes through like several differnt tones and some of them are quite amusing.

sorry didnt notice anyone had replied to the topic

errmmm taking the gaitor off, did it ages ago so carnt really remember.

think it was a bit of a pain though. I think at the top where the gaitor is attacted to the gear knob it was qyt a struggle with a screwdriver trying to get it off. You will have 2 b persisant i think.

sorry notmuch help

The gaitor is held in by plastic clips, pop them off and pull the gaitor over itself. It's then just held in by a single metal ring. Using a flathead screwdriver pry this off. Once it's off it's not really usable again, so buy a small jubliee clip from Halfords and use that to re-attach.

I know how to detach the gear stick from the car but how do i get the gaitor off it to change it to a new one?
The metal clip holds the stick to the car
