Updates on my Mk4

Post by Polo96CL »

Hey guys,

Just a little update of how my polo is looking now. Finally got round to getting the door handles colour coded and the votex spoiler sprayed and thought i'd get some pictures for you lot. I've polished it up this afternoon so it's looking nice and red. The spoiler is staying off until it goes for a full respray, need to start saving the pennies :D

On a side note, i'm buying Alex Perkins' BBS RXii's on sunday so will upload some more when they are on. Plans are to lower it with some coilovers, fix that rust on the rear door and possibly get a full respray 8)

Anyway, here are some pics :)

car looks smart mate. Im toying with the idea of de-bump striping mine and colour coding the handles? I did think it might look a bit too much red, but from what i can see it looks good.

Looks good chap. Much smarter than a standard 8v.

Get that rear door sorted and it'll be really tidy :)

Thanks for the comments guys!

Unfortuantly those pictures don't show you how true the red really is, for 11 year old original paint which was originally on the verge of pink when I got it, it's very good. The camera has picked up the real colour on the last picture, it's like that all round :D

Picking up some BBS RXii's today, hope to have them fitted later if I have to the time 8)

looking good fella, can't wait to see it dropped.

just one idea, which may tickle your fancy if really anal on mods!

Spray the side indicators red and get yellow bulbs. That way the white doesn;t stick out and they still light orange remaining legal

Thanks again for the comments, i'm now saving for the suspension and respray.

Next step to look out for is the calipers painted red and the rear drums painted in black 8)

Thanks Tim.

I'm just in the process of getting quotes for the respray right now, looking at £800 at cheapest (work mates friend rate :P ). I've already spent more on changes to it than how much I bought the car for, but it's all part of the fun :D

Respay should be end of august time and as for lowering, could be some time due to costs.
