Black roof???

Post by whitegtipolo »

I have been toying with the idea of a black roof, first i thought i would get it painted, but then found out bout this company http://www.raccoon.co.uk/gallery.php they will wrap the roof in vinyl , so wen i come to sell it , i can remove the black vinyl!! Only thing is it will cost £260+vat!!! Is this a good price, how much do you think it would be to spray it?? opinions plz

Go for it, its what you're looking for as its reversible. What sort of guarantee do they offer that it removes cleanly?

Are you thinking piano or matt black? It'd be great they could do a shiny black. Only thing i would question is how long it stays looking mint.

Your car's really looking superb.

Thanks!! i know wat you mean as it will show up scratches etc being black, then the glue might damage the paint in years to come?? i think just a plain black would look good! i need a bit of arch work b4 that anyhow, only catches slightly on the osr LOL  But what do i expect on 18x8 slammed to fook HA

car is looking good bud....i would say go with the vinyl as it's easy to take of. I still have it on my roof and haven't had a problem. I did have have it on my bonnet aswell for about a year and took it off with no colour difference to the paint

ha ha i just started this on the mk6 bit.
the only bit i'm worried about is the spoiler lip will that be painted or not.
'vinesh' has his spoiler done, and the white gti doesn't.
whats best?

oh btw get it done :D
