Is this a passenger mirror off a LHD car?

I had the same problem with the above type of mirror. Passenger base plates hold the mirror at a more acute angle to the side of the car than driver base plates

So I took both my old RHD driver mirror and the LHD passenger mirror apart. Then I put the outer part of the LHD mirror on to the RHD base plate - which solved the problem.

Stubby mirrors (Passenger LHD mirror) are a little poor when it comes to vision. That's why they had the large one for the drivers side though. I've just learnt to live with it, for it looks just soo much better 8)

I only found out my car has a stubby drivers side mirror. Thanks Simon with the red GTi btw!

I always used to look at my mirrors and think, well a stubby mirror isnt gonna make much difference

But this is my first car too, and i dont find visability bad.

But then again ive got used to it since the start so i suppose its different

I noticed a difference at first, but you get used to it. I don't find it an issue really.
