Aftermarket fuel gauge(s)?

I'm getting annoyed now, second polo and fuel gauge inaccurate as hell feezing over... Last night I did some driving about 40miles, looked at my fuel and I ate more than half. Went to fuel up today for a trip to essex turns out I only needed 12 litres of fuel and not 30 odd like the gauge was telling me.

Any after market solutions or ideas for a replacement for something accurate, as my old 1 was inaccurate on the 1.0 but not as inaccurate as this one on the 1.4.
