induction kit and powerflow exaust

will it really make a difference if i put an induction kit on my 1.4 8v its a mk5 but its the same engine setupo as the mk4, my powerlow exaustpie make quite alot of noise and i wondered if getting a filter would make any difference up front? if so which one to go for? also do you guys tell your insurance? the dont know about my exaust but hey?

if you pick the right filter then it will make a bit of difference. mainly that the engine will be more free revving

i have a K&N filter on mine not the one that sits on the tb but connects onto the excisting air box pipe, ive then run my induction hose to the front grill, it has made a little difference, it make a hell of an induction noise but i dont have an exhaust to match as yet, so yes i guess it will help a little...
