Judgement Day

Post by polo_dude »

Think it's about time I put up a thread of updates!

8) 8) KW Variant 1 Coilovers.

Wheels will also be coming soon most probably Monday. So the collies and the wheels will be put on soon! Stay peeled. 8)

Here's a few before shots:

Also got busy and made myself a rear blanking plate (havn't got a pick on the car yet!)

(Wasn't happy with it flattened it down and them primered it again.)

Image
(Perfect! Then went on to spraying it in a gloss black 8) )

Will try and get some professional pictures taken. Once the collies and wheels are on.

Plans:
Slated badgeless grill
Getting rid of the VR Splitter and getting a GTI one
Going to keep rocking the 8V bumpers and smooth the plate recess from the front.
Smooth the badge and handle and leave the plate recess.

All comments welcome. Good and bad! 8)

£640 Just googled it. Blimey
Very good condition. No seizure. No rust. Bolts, C spanner and delivered next day. Just dirty when I took the picture that's all, but gave them a good clean today. Looks nearly brand new :P

Thats a sweet price for the amount of quality they offer

Like suggested above I think you should keep the 8v bumpers and maybe add fogs.

Yeah really pleased with the grab :D

Defo rocking the 8 Valve bumpers. That's a pretty good idea aswell with the fogs however they're bloody hard to find!

Really small update, Stuck on the rear wiper blanking plate today:

Inspiration 8)

Belongs to one of the Dub Club boys in Coventry which makes a trip to London once in a while.

Might be hard to find the fogs but you'll be very happy afterwards :D

Doing the fitting myself with Mk4po-low on here. Which is saving me £80 which I got quoted for. Using the guide in the D.I.Y section.

What's the story behind greasing coilovers? Do you grease them? If so what should i get?
