Clutch notchyness

Post by tegwin »

Dont know if anyone is interested...but...

If your clutch is feeling notchy or weird I suggest you take a look at where your clutch cable is...

Its suposed to be clipped onto the bulkhead about halfway along the length of the cable.......however, mine kept popping out of the clip making the clutch feel crap..

Two cableties inplace and it feels sooo much better!

That's pushing it!....

Just follow the clutch cable back from the gearbox to the bulkhead and you will find a spikey plastic assembly built onto the cable...that is suposed to be clipped into the bulkhead

And for the 'not so clued up on engines...'

If I went to my garage and asked them to - 'check where my clutch cable was attached to on the bulkhead, and to make sure it was secured halfway down with additional cable ties..' They would know what to do, how to do it and it would'nt take that long?
