Best all round tyre?

Post by Scorpio1 »

What tyres would people recommend on here? I’m obviously looking for something good in the wet as well as the dry, and that last well, but are good at road noise, quality of ride etc…

Is that asking too much?

I have continentals and don’t like them at all. :(

What are people’s experiences of tyre makes?

Fair enough!

I was looking at Dunlop too, but I'm not sure.

I'll check that tyre out, cheers Josh

What would happen if I changed the profile from 45 to 55? They're currently 205/45/R16

I'm using bridgestone re720s on my GT, but since they grip really well, they make the car boring to drive

I had a quick look on the web and it doesn't seem they do. In those types I think they start at 15" or 16"

I read a 2% change was okay, but looked on a website and it would be as much as 6% out!

Just think I would get a better ride with them. I wonder if the ECU can be re-programmed to have the new tyre size in it with a dealer tool or VAG-COM :?
