No good news on that topic I'm affraid, any thing is possible given time and money - but that job would probably take about £1000 - just a complete out of the air guess. The Climatronic uses motorised flaps etc and so changing that lot along with the associated wiring would probably be a no-brainer. The front end controllers turn up cheaply from time to time (and I must confess that I bought one as a spare - but my wife's car has Climatronic - I spec'd that in as my Passat has it and it is meant to be able to tell you what its faults are), and that's another thing, the more bits you have the more there is to go wrong - and given enough time it will. My eight year old Passat has been moaning about needing a new flapmotor for a long time - but its mainly a complete dashboard job out affair - so I'm ignoring it until the next one goes as not doubt it will.

Hi Ian,

Unfortunately, it requires a whole new interior and engine loom - which in itself will cost more than £1k. Youd be better off selling up and getting one with climatic if you really want it that bad!

Cheers
