My mrs has a 1998 polo 1.6 (AEE) 8v and its overfuelling.
Its been on VAG-Com and nothing shows up ... i have done all the tests suggested on the autodata cd and nothing is wrong... the lambda, throttle body, temp sensor, coil, leads, plugs etc have all been changed for new.
Basically i get missfire on idle which goes away to a certain extent whilst driving but is still there and the fuel economy is terrible.
We have a horrible eggy smell and black soot from the exhaust... the cat is not blocked as i have disconnected the downpipe and run it without.
Absolutley pulling my hair out... can anyone help ?
