Please help me ASAP

I need my car working ASAP, please help. My car is a (2000) vw polo, 1.4 16v. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes, I reconnected it, now when i start the car, the engine just cuts out. Its like the ECU is stopping the fuel pump or sumat. would anyone be able to help please.

Check your fuses on top of the battery, failing that check them on the fuse board behind the dash next to the steering wheel, i blew 3 fuses installing a stereo, blew ones like fuel pump etc

way bummer,, yup deffo check all the fuses first, plus all the main services to the engine e.g. coolant levels the same happened to a friends gti turned out it was that!
it will be a bit lumpy when you get it going as always when you disconnect the juice,
let us no how it goes

Could be the immobiliser my the sounds of it.

maybe the transponder has stopped working, in either the key or the barrel

Got it sorted, just left my battery disconnected overnight, then did the 30 second key combination it tells you about in the user manual. Thanks anyway. Had to go a week without my car tho, and used the train instead. lol
