after washing swirls

if you have a car of a colour which shows swirls after washing eg mine being black shows them up bad! how can you get rid of them

with a machine polisher

your car will require machine polishing by either a rotary or dual action polisher with cutting compounds

this is the only real way to remove them, polishes like auto glym srp will mask the scratches temp by using fillers in the polish
