MK4 3dr and 5dr Handles

Does anyone know if the handles from the 3dr and the 5dr are different?
Reason I ask is because I bought some handles of ebay from a 5 door and they dont fit.
Is this because they are from the 5dr or because they are from a N reg and mines a V reg?

Shouldn't be any different at all, why aren't they fitting? If they are for your front doors, be aware that there is a bar which needs to be pulled across before a little tab which holds them on can be squeezed in.

No its not that mate its the hole in them for them locking barrell and stuff togo through is too narrow.

I think Il just get my current ones sprayed and worry if they go crappy looking if it happens.

if its just that the hole is too small, get a file to it and widen it up so it fits?

yeah that is an option i suppose. Although the hole is quite a bit smaller than my locking barrell. Im guessing i could drill it and then file it.

ye anything that would make the hole bigger. if thats the only problem ur havin with gettin them fitted
