Gear knob change

if there are previous topics on this i am sorry

just got a new Momo gear knob and wanted to replace the vw standard one

got the gaiter looking like an umbrella and i see a metal clip holding what appears to be the knob in place

can someone instruct me how to change, im not the most car technical person ever but am good with instructions

I havent actually done it but i was inquiring, and apparently if you take the clip off the knob just pulls off. It has a rubber thing inside it that holds it on to the stick.

Release the Clip and pull the knob upwards, comes off. Changed mine too a Mark 5 polo/ Mark 4 gear Knob, loads better.

yeh i guessed it was the clip, is there any easy way to get it off or is a little force required?

Flat bladed screw driver, pry it open, lol thats what id do.
