I've spent £2-3k on this after purchase and around 75% on maintenance alone! I've rarely had the chance to put any mods on it! All the mods apart from the rims came from my old 6n so i've not done anything apart from fix all the major problems i've had ie;

1. all the parts bought on trial and error for the idle issue
2. Front wishbones
3. 2 pedal boxe failures
4. Clutch
5. re-cond gearbox

...........and the list gones on. Love the car but its put me down I want mods but think to myself, "whats the point, something else is bound to go wrong and I won't have the cash to fix up!" If I had saved up I could've had a 6n2 GTI with leathers lol

SO I won't bother chucking much cash on the car anymore so no respray, its been a bad boy :x

I was thinking about it this morning lol!

Problem is I have the worst of luck. With all the pedal box and gearbox problems i've had, i'm bound to have the same problems with a GTI!

Only hold back with this one cos already smashed up my previous polo and you get nothing to show for all the cash you put into it. MY MOUTH STILL WATERS for Schrick cams, mainfold and cat-back system :roll: :x (I need medication)
