I would imagine camber and tracking is f****d? Hows the bottom arm looking? The suspension strut straight? Any of the chassis bent?

Your extremely lucky if it's just the wheel and tyre!!!

I cant imagine that all that force caused no other damage even if its minor. At the very least I would have agrred with Tim & said the tracking must be slightly out.

Glad you've got it back though and so quickly. Fingers crossed nothing else is needed, or maybe just a bit of allignment.

The RAC guy was on the phone to "headquarters" requesting a low loader. and i quote

Seen a video somewhere before of (I think dutch) polo being loaded onto low loader on the side of the road. But you could hear the bumper scraping the floor all the way on :(

The guy took his time getting my car on and off the trailer. Didnt scrape at all :)

Took the wheel off today, its official. The wheel is fcuked and so is the tyre.

So i will order a new wheel tomorrow and get another tyre when i get the wheel.

What a pain in the arrrse :(

The hub seems ok, i still have a dodgy sound coming from my drivers wheel arch on full lock, and a funny flapping noise while driving from the drivers wheel arch!

:(

I spoke to a mechanic tonight and mentioned your misfortune. He said worst case would be that the alloy knocked or dented your disc causing vibrations or noise/scrapping. Hows it seem?

Oh thankyou Howard thats very thought ful of you :)

Now youve mentioned that, putting two and two together. The RAC guy at the scene said my wheel had colided or something with my caliper. So that may be what it is, alltho the noise i swear is coming from the drivers side.

Alltho i thought the thudding noise was coming from my drivers side........and the passenger side wheel came off

He siad either the disc took most of the impact or your disc and caliper. So might be dis-aligned? He said the slightest knock on the disc can cause vibrations.
