De-Wipered!

Post by Torq-Al »

Finally got round to removing the rear wiper yesterday afternoon, probably the best 30 mins I've spent on the car!

1 screw holding the trim secure, disconnect the electrical connector & washer, 2 bolts to remove motor & Presto! Couple of grommets, bit of contact adhesive on the trim & one smooth looking butt!!

Coil-overs will be next, probably!

Just doing those simple cheap jobs at the mo. Satisfaction of removing the wiper was great, & cost less than £1!!
Got a mate at work who is sorting out getting all 5 windows tinted for me, £100. Done by a pro tinter! Bonus! :D

Good job mate, what did you use to actually plug the hole up with?

Used a rubber grommet, sealed round with clear silicone on the inner hole. And another grommet (as you can see) on the outside, glued in place with some contact adhesive. :D

And to think i wasn't going to do it, just broke the plastic retainer on the end of the arm & thought, why not just take it off.
Was cheaper & looks better than the retro-fit aero-wiper that was going on!

Just got a mesh grill off ebay, will fit it tomorrow & post it up. Wheels & coillies are my main aim. Then, who knows! Its all evolutionary at the mo, see where it takes me!!
