Black strips

Post by mikhal_fi »

I would like to know how hard it is to remove those black pieces of plastic that run along side the door. I have a 6n2 1.4 2000 and was thinking it would look pretty nice without those. I guess i'll use the hairdryer trick with thread but are there any holes behind the plastic or clips?

There is a thread somewhere thats about this.

I think you can take um off no prob with a hair dryer and dental flos on the mk4 6n but on the 6n2 its got holes down the side when ya take it off tho.

stick to de-badging the 6n2 for hassle-free modding!

if you remove the side rub strips then you get left with holes. trust me. the rear badges on the bottom are fine to remove
the big rear vw badge leaves a recess
the front one needs the grill changing
