6n2 front and rear bumpers

colour doesnt matter, dont mind a few scuffs and scratches either..

bit of dajervue here. i was looking for these aswell........ after time i found them on ebay for cheaper........ needless to say condition isnt perfect but i got them both now.

ig ot a 2000 rear bumper for Â£19.95 and a front one for Â£10. means i can now do my project bumpers without having to worry about my car not having bumpers.....

have a look on ebay u might find some.... if not i did get told from people on here they had bumpers so keep a eye out.

yup... i currently started the ones on my bumper but havnt worked properly as i didnt do it right so i thought id get "new" bumpers and do them then get them sprayed by a garage so they look better.

my only thing is now im thinking about wat to do, yea i wanna smooth the bump strips but im thinking do i try to smooth the 2 lower fog light grills to and try to merge a gti splitter into it or not......

ah i see mate,
im hoping to get my hands on a front and rear so that i can give smoothing a go if it turns out well i can simply get them sprayed up and swap them with my current bumpers.

would you mind taking some photos as you go along? be good to see how you progess and the end result, maybe put it in a DIY thread..

could do but dont know when i'll be starting it anyway.... i was also thinking about lowering the position of the recess of the rear registration but not sure if i can as theres the reinforcement bar behind the bumper so dunno if it would get in the way.

was gonna start a thread with the bumpers about a bargain price and pics of the bumpers....

yeah do that mate be good to see what condition there in

emailed a guy over ebay whos breaking a 6n2 going to give him a call tomorrow and then hopefully go down and have a look.

is the reinforcement bar attached to the bumper or does it simply sit behind it?

it sits behind its attached to the car so not sure how it will work.... might not even change the position of the reg plate position.

got sent this link on another forum, seems to have turned out pretty well, think il buy on extra bumber to use as a donaer like that guy has..

I dont know how far away you are from me but i know of a silver 6n2 gti sitting in a breakers near me, they are rather cheap there to.

I think the rear bumper is in ok nick but not sure on the front as i remember the engine had gone

ok mate, im exeter which is devon so pretty far away, would probably have had it if it wasnt to expensive aswell.

do you know if the gti's got the splitter and front grille with badge on it?

Erm im not to sure, im popping down there tomorrow again so ill keep an eye open
